Accessibility

We have step free access to both floors (the upper floor is accessed via a lift with low level buttons). There is a disabled toilet on both floors.

For those with hearing problems, our reception desk stations are fitted with induction loop intercom systems. British Sign Language interpreters are available on request for consultations.

Generally we are open Monday to Fridays after 8:00am until 6:30pm.
Due to Staff Training we operate a very limited reception access on Wednesdays 12:00pm until 2:00pm. To avoid longer waits we would therefore recommend calling or coming in at an alternative time, unless of course you have an appointment.

Additional Information 
The Practice is also generally open Wednesdays and Thursdays (7:00am until 8:00am and 6:30pm until 8:00pm) and most Saturdays (9:00am to 1:00pm) for Extended Access Pre-booked Appointments Only.

If you coming outside the normal reception hours (ie evening/weekend/early morning) and find the front doors closed please kindly press the intercom button to the right of the automatic doors to be let in.

Out of Hours

Enhanced Access (evenings and weekends)

Our Primary Care Network, West Camden PCN (West Hampstead Medical Centre and Abbey Medical Centre) will be providing our patients with an extended access service, delivered locally by our practice clinicians.

These additional access appointments will be provided in a variety of ways which will be a mix of face to face, telephone and online econsults as follows:

Monday

  • Abbey Medical Centre: 6.30pm to 8pm for online eConsults

Tuesday

  • Abbey Medical Centre: 6.30pm to 8pm for telephone appointments, face to face appointments and online eConsults

Wednesday

  • West Hampstead Medical Centre: 7am to 8am for telephone and face to face appointments
  • West Hampstead Medical Centre: 6.30pm to 8pm for telephone appointments, face to face appointments and online eConsults

Thursday

  • West Hampstead Medical Centre: 7am to 8am for telephone and face to face appointments
  • West Hampstead Medical Centre: 6.30pm to 8pm for telephone appointments, face to face appointments and online eConsults

Friday

  • West Hampstead Medical Centre: 6.30pm to 8pm for online eConsults

Saturday

  • Abbey Medical Centre and West Hampstead Medical Centre: on alternating Saturdays. Please check with the surgery for details. 9.am to 1pm for telephone and face to face appointments
  • Abbey Medical Centre and West Hampstead Medical Centre: on alternating Saturdays. Please check with the surgery for details. 1pm to 5pm for online eConsults

These can be booked in the usual ways. Reception staff will be available in the hours we are providing a clinic for telephone bookings and cancellations only. We ask you not to attend the practice to book or cancel during the extended access hours.

In addition The Camden Hub service will provide evening and weekend GP and Nursing appointments bookable between 12pm to 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 8pm Saturdays and Sundays by calling 0207 3919 979
